Bill Chaleff and Paul Rogers have been partners designing sustainable architecture since 1985. Bill Chaleff designed his first solar home in 1975. They shared a belief in the importance of designing buildings in an environmentally responsive way long before it became popular to practice “Green” Architecture.
The firm has built over 200 energy efficient homes employing concepts such as true passive solar design, state-of-the-art construction methods and materials and integrated thermal system engineering. Bill has developed a unique system of air-floor construction which he has incorporated into over 150 buildings. He has also been designing with SIPs (Structural Insulated Panels) since 1986 and writes articles on SIP construction. |
Don Matheson, LLC builds Zero Energy Homes. Live in a home where the total amount of energy used by the building on an annual basis is equal to the amount of renewable energy created on the site.

Bonac Bees is a full service beekeeping business based in East Hampton, New York. In addition to beekeeping, Bonac Bees makes a variety of beeswax products, including candles and surfwax! Unlike commercially made candles, which contain petroleum products and chemical fragrances, beeswax is a natural, renewable resource, made by honeybees! Beeswax candles burn more beautifully than any other wax, and as it burns, a natural honey fragrance fills the air! Did you know that about 95% of surf wax is made from paraffin wax pellets? This comes from petroleum by-products that are created when crude oil is refined into gasoline. Much of this wax eventually falls off surfboards and can affect our beaches, reefs, and other delicate ecosystems. This is not good for the Planet or for YOU! Bonac Bees Buzzin’ Surf Wax is an ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY way to wax up your surf board! Our surfwax is made from bees and trees. You will love the sweet smell of the wax and help the planet every time you wax up! Bonac Bees products are BiodegradableOrganicNaturalAwesomeChemical-free, and RENEWABLE!!

Heart Transverter | Making Advanced Power Electronics for Sustainable Energy. This company is using intense amounts of logic (which requires almost no resources) to create a major shift of energy production away from fossil fuels towards cleaner methods like photovoltaics and fuel cells. We use deep cradle to grave Life Cycle Analysis of the Transverter to maximize beneficial environmental impact and promote Green Engineering. Financial benefits are created to motivate the move to greener energy management. The net effect will be less pollution from fossil fuels used for energy & materials, less aluminum and copper mined and less total energy used directly & for manufacturing & transportation. Over the years, while working and searching for outlets and extension cords on job sites, and marinas, I realized the need for a generator. I did not want to smell or hear a gas powered generator running for hours. While dealing with our last hurricane, I realized even if I had one, to acquire fuel was very difficult. So I began the construction of a Renewable Energy Powered Generator. We call it DOC POWER.
DOC POWER -For jobsites, marinas, camping, or home. Wherever there is a need for clean energy, DOC POWER can be implemented. DOC POWER’s fuel source is the Sun, the wind, and other forms of kinetic energy. All systems are custom made to suit the application. We currently are displaying our basic waterproof model. Safe for use inside and outside, safe for pets, easy to use. Thoroughly tested and currently in use at job sites and at recreational activities. |
